(Woodhull, NY) The Joe Willcox Performance Street Stock Division will take center stage at the famed Woodhull Raceway on Saturday, July 16, 2022 as The New York State Stock Car Association will present a Great 8 Show at the track.

“Joe and Jean Willcox have done a fabulous job not only promoting the Street Stock Division over the past dozen or so seasons, but the Woodhull Raceway in general stated track co-owner, Niki Brewer. We could not put on the quality show that we do every week without their assistance. On July 16 we will run a special Joe Willcox Performance Street Stock King of the Ring with the winner of the single elimination event pocketing some extra cash.”

In a time where racing expenses are to the moon those extra bucks will come in handy for one lucky driver and team. Favorites going into the event include current high point driver, Brett Crawford who is having a career season in his potent #8 family -owned machine. However, seasoned Street Stock wheelmen like Mick Seeley, Dan Gardner along with relatively new competitors in Travis Webster and Luke Boom may have a say in who wears the crown and cape

“These King of the Ring races draw a lot of fan appeal sated Niki Brewer. Not only will the winner pick up some extra cash, but the fans get an added attraction as part of the program with no additional cost.”

Both pit and grandstand gates for the July 16 show open at 4:30 with racing at 6:30 pm. Additional information leading up to race day including weather updates and the race night format will be posted at www.Facebook.com/WoodhullRaceway/

As part of the NYSSCA sponsored event it will be a regular card of the Insinger Performance Modifieds, the NAPA Crate Sportsman, the Armstrong Rush Crate Late Models along with the Hobby Stock Divisions. The Joe Willcox Performance Street stocks will barely catch their breath prior to the 20- lap feature event as the Wicked Tee’s sponsored Mini’s and Warriors along with the FWD will round the night of action.
