(WOODHULL,NY)- This Saturday ‘New York’s Toughest Bullring’ will be running again after taking a week off. Six divisions will be on hand this Saturday as Joe Willcox Performance and Schweigart’s Maple Products present the racing action.

Joe Willcox Performance Automatics, located in the Gaines/Westfield, PA area, will also be on hand to present the action and welcome all Street Stock competitors. Also supporting Woodhull Raceway as the Street Stock division sponsor and Street Stock King of the Ring sponsor the dynamic duo of Joe and Jean Willcox are Woodhull fixtures that give back a great deal to Southern Tier racers from their self-proclaimed 'little operation in Westfield.'

Schweigart’s Maple Products has a store located conveniently in Woodhull,NY with their products spread out over New York and Pennsylvania. They have a variety of top of the line maple products. These products can even be shipped right to your door..

Kurt Stebbins was able to click off the win last season during the running of the ‘Woodhull 100’. Although still a 100-lap race this season, Woodhull Raceway changed the name to the ‘Steve Kent Memorial 100’ in memory of Steve Kent. The race will pay a cool $1,000 to win. Plus over $4,000 in lap money up for grabs.

Rules for the Woodhull’s Open Street Stocks are as follows:

  • Any steel small block engine

  • Must run (1) two barrel carburetor

  • 10 inch maximum width on any tire

  • No 3-Link or Late Model type chassis. Must have stock Front Clip. Clip cars MUST be 2" x 3" Steel tubing from 36" behind centerline of front wheels to centerline of rear axle and must go over rear axle.

  • No weight rule

Also on the card for this weekend is ‘The Skinny’ a 30-lap race for the Hobby Stock division. Mark ‘Skinny’ Fay was well known and an avid part of Woodhull Raceway, unfortunately he lost his battle to cancer this season. The Hobby Stocks were one of his favorite classes, so in memory of him the race was named ‘The Skinny’. This race also carries lap sponsorships.

As mentioned earlier today, the Crate Late Models have a cool $1,000 on the line thanks to Close Racing Supply. Close Racing Supply contacted owner Ted White earlier this week announcing he would push the purse to $1,000.

Also racing Saturday is the Crate Sportsman, Open Mini Stocks and FWD classes. General Admission is set at $15 for adults, $8 for ages 8-12 and 65+. 7 and under is free. Pit passes have been set at $30. General Admission gates will open up at 4pm with racing starting at 6pm.

The Junior Fan Booth will be there like in week’s past. They will be passing out cider and donuts to the kids along with sign ups for the Jr. Fan of the Week. Also some drivers will be up behind the grandstands before the races with candy in their helmets for kids to ‘trick or treat’.
