(WOODHULL, NY) – Dgien Trucking is back on Saturday night at Woodhull Raceway, to sponsor their annual night of family, fun and dirt track racing.
This loyal sponsor located in Howard, NY always has a fun wrinkle that they like to include that sweetens the pot for the drivers or the fans on Dgien Trucking Night. Saturday night, there will be some exta cold, hard cash on the line for the drivers that make a big push to get to the front in their features.
Dgien Trucking has stepped up to offer a $100 cash bonus to the race's Hard Charger in both the Insinger Performance Modifieds and NAPA Crate Sportsman divisions for Saturday night's features.
"Andy and his whole family have been loyal supporters of all that we do here at Woodhull," said Woodhull Raceway owner and promoter Ted White. "The track has been great of late and we plan on giving the drivers another smooth, racy surface to see who can drive from the back to the front."
Feature lineups are set weekly based on a three week look back of a money earned points system. The better your last three finishes are, the further in the back you start. But unlike most tracks that have a system that handicaps 16-18 cars, Woodhull only handicaps the top 12 starters. Making qualifying heat races as important as they've ever been- even though they do offer 3, 2 and 1 points to the top three cars across the line.
All of Woodhull Raceway’s racing divisions will be on hand, including the Insinger Performance Modifieds, NAPA Crate Sportsman, SWL Awards Crate Late Models, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks, Daugherty Auto Sales & Service Mini Stocks, Bear’s Auto Body Front Wheel Drives and Daugherty’s Auto Sales & Service Warriors.
The Warriors will also participate in a special 15-lap special event, with the Crooker family presenting a limited edition gift to the competitors.
Fans can find their way into the grandstands Saturday at 4:30 for only $13 for adults 13 and up. Seniors 62+ and Students 8-12 will be $7. Children 7 and under are always free at Woodhull Raceway. Our weekly Early Bird Special runs from 4:30-5:30 and offers $1 off general admission. Free camping is offered on the speedway grounds for those wishing to make it a weekend of family, friends and dirt track racing.
