Tonight's first night of competition for Bullring Challenge Weekend sponsored by Costy's Energy Services has been cancelled due to rain and cold temperatures for the rest of today.
"We're disappointed to lose Night 1 of the Bullring Challenge," said Woodhull Owner and Promoter Ted White.
"Our plan now is to give the weather 24 hours to change and re-evaluate for Saturday's event tomorrow morning. Hopefully this will give everyone ample notice who planned on coming out today. The campground is open if anyone was already planning to come out to camp for the weekend."
Saturday night’s championship will see Big Block/Small Block Modifieds go forty laps for $3,000-to-win in the 7th annual Bullring Challenge. The Grit Racing Series American Racer Series will go thirty laps for $1,000-to-win and $100 to take the green flag.
The 360 Late Models will compete in the final 360 Late Model event of their long history on the High Banks. Saturday will also see open Street Stocks and the finale Championship race for the Quad C division in 2016. The Quad C division is the only division left that must settle their season championship point race.
Fans can find their way into the grandstands Saturday at 3:30 for only $15 for adults 13 and up. Seniors and ages 8-12 will be $8. Children 7 and under are always free at Woodhull Raceway.
Saturday’s program takes the green flag at 5:30pm. Free camping is offered on the speedway grounds for those wishing to make it a weekend of family, friends and dirt track racing.
