For Immediate Release – June 9th, 2016 –

(WOODHULL) - Since the opening week at Woodhull Raceway the No. 19J has been near the front of the pack in the NAPA Crate Sportsman division. This driver out of Addison races weekly at Woodhull Raceway along with his brother Stacey Jackson.

Jackson is coming off a strong performance last Saturday night, leading many laps in the middle of the twenty-five lap feature event. He would end up taking home podium finish in third.

The 43 year old, Mike Jackson races the Last Lap, RealtyUSA.com, Crate Sportsman on a weekly

basis at Woodhull Raceway. Mike has three kids and is a self-employed logger who loves to race on

the weekends.

Jackson has been racing for twenty years. His dad, Steve Jackson, who recently passed over the

off season, got Mike and Stacey both into racing.

“My dad owned cars all my life,” said Jackson during an interview.

Jackson has raced almost every kind of racecar there is. Jackson jumped in feet first.

“Started right out in a modified," said Jackson.

Mike has raced Sportsman, Modifieds, Sprint Cars, BRP Late Models, and he’s even drove a 4 cylinder for a guy to try and help him out.

For Jackson, the best thing about racing for him is the family time. He runs full time with

his brother Stacey. They used to be very competitive with each other, and had their fair share of disagreements, but as the years have passed both of them have mellowed out and now enjoy racing side by side with each other.

However- the two are still very competitive.

“Overall I’ve had a pretty good year," said Jackson.

The rest of the season should have a lot in store for both Jackson boys. For now be prepared to see Mike "Action" Jackson in the front of the pack. He will continue to knock on the door for his first feature win of 2016 and first feature win since returning to the driver's seat full-time.
