Woodhull Raceway History & Info
Woodhull Raceway was opened in 1965 by George Williams who with his two sons, Jim and Bob designed and constructed the track. 2022 will mark the 57th consecutive season of continuous race activity at the historic Steuben County New York facility now under the ownership and promotion of Nikki and Terry Brewer.
In the 56-year history there have been only four different owners of the track, the Williams Family from 1965 thru 1997. Scott and Amy Drake of Lindley, New York from 1998 thru 2004, Vern Wasson of Jersey Shore, Pa from 2005 thru 2009, Ted and Brandi White of Harrison Valley, PA from 2010 thru 2019, and current owners Nikki and Terry Brewer of Jasper, NY starting in 2020.
The configuration of Woodhull Raceway is a very high banked one-third of a mile red clay oval. The “Paperclip” design of Woodhull, with its long straight a ways and highly banked tight turns, make it a very unique track to drivers and spectators alike.
Currently, Woodhull Raceway races 7 Regular Season Divisions of competition. Big Block Small Block Modifieds, Crate Late Models, Crate Sportsman, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks, Front Wheel Drives and a youth 4-Cylinder division called the Woodhull Warriors.
In addition, Woodhull plays host each year to a number of outside touring groups and special events including the Short Track Super Series Modifieds, Patriot Sprint Tour 360 Sprints, Crate Sportsman Modifieds, RUSH Crate Late Models, Micro Sprints, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, & Four Cylinders.
