Arnot Mall Rules and Regulations for Temporary Vendors

 

The Arnot Mall Management realizes that the comfort of an enclosed Mall provides an ideal place for outside businesses and non-profit organizations to reach thousands of consumers weekly.  It is our intention to share the common areas whenever possible.  Since the Mall was primarily designed for the use and convenience of our customers, we must insist that all temporary users of the Mall comply with the following rules:

1.                   The Mall Manager or Marketing Director shall retain complete control of all Mall exhibits, booths or shows.

2.                   Set-up and teardown must be before 9:30 AM or after 9:45 PM Monday – Saturday and before 10:30 AM or after 6:30 PM on Sundays.

3.                   Entrance doors and removable railings will ONLY be moved or opened by Arnot Mall Employees.

4.                   Displays are limited to 7 feet high in most vendor locations, unless previous arrangements have been made with Mall Management.

5.                   No display will block any doors, emergency or fire exits or fire hydrants.

6.                   No signs, posters, banners, etc. may be attached to any Mall property or structure unless prior approval from Mall Management has been given.

7.                   Exhibitors adjacent to planters and/or mall benches must keep displays at least 4 feet away. New York State Fire Code mandates a 10-foot walkway from the edge of the display to a storefront or kiosk. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONSFor any vendor space or vehicle display that utilizes fencing or stanchions, the above rule applies from the fencing/stanchion not from the display/vehicle.

8.                   Keep excess literature, boxes, coats, etc. under tables and hidden from view.  Display areas must be kept neat at all times.  NO literature or merchandise is allowed with sexual or violent content.  The Mall Manager or Marketing Director has the right to deny any merchandise or literature and have it removed from the Mall’s premises.

9.                   Mall Management does not permit helium filled balloons without prior approval.  Helium tanks must be securely affixed to a stationary object with chains.

10.                Vendors are not allowed to intercept shoppers in any way by calling to them or physically stopping them.

11.                NO strobe lights or high intensity flashing is allowed.

12.                NO smoke producing devices are permitted in the Mall.

13.                NO open flame devices or lit candles.  No explosives allowed in or around the Mall.

14.                NO vendor is allowed to use any equipment owned by Arnot Mall unless prior approval from Mall Management.

15.                FIRE ARMS, KNIVES, OR ANY WEAPONS MUST be displayed in a secure manner.  Mall Management and Mall Security MUST approve all weapons. Weapons must not be accessible to the general public.

16.                NO consumption of alcohol or controlled substances in the common area, food court or parking lots of Arnot Mall. Person(s) found consuming alcohol or controlled substances will be asked to leave immediately or face trespass charges.

17.                NO tape is to be used on floors in and around display area unless prior approval from Mall Management.

18.                Exhibitors using audio equipment must keep the volume at a reasonable level.  Arnot Mall Security will assist with the volume level before the event.  If a vendor is requested to adjust the volume level and fails to do so, they will be asked to leave the mall without any reimbursement of fee.

19.                While you are exhibiting at the Arnot Mall, you are required to park behind the GREEN LINE painted on the outer half of the parking lot.

20.                Risk of injury – Persons entering the premises of the Mall for the purpose described in these rules do so at their sole risk.  Neither the Mall or any of its owners, beneficiaries or agents shall have any liability for injury to such persons except liability arising from the willful misconduct of the Mall’s agents or employees.

21.                Vendors bringing edible items, please provide a Chemung County Food Service permit and be advised of Chemung County’s Rules and Regulations.  If you do not have a copy of the rules and regulations, we will provide a copy.

22.                FOR ALL DISPLAY VEHICLES IN THE MALL – PLEASE READ THE

FOLLOWING:

·                     PADS MUST BE PLACED UNDER ALL VEHICLE TIRES AND UNDER OIL PAN.       

              CARPETING, CARDBOARD OR OTHER SIMILAR MATERIAL MAY BE USED.

·                     PLEASE ALLOW TIRE POLISHES, SUCH AS “ARMOR-ALL” TO DRY

BEFORE ENTERING THE MALL.  THESE POLISHES STAIN THE FLOOR

TILES AND CARPETS.  IF YOU USE THEM INDOORS, AND STAIN THE

FLOOR OR CARPET, YOU WILL BE BILLLED FOR THE COST OF THE CLEANING.

·                     GAS TANKS MUST BE LOCKED OR TAPED.

·                     BATTERIES ARE TO BE DISCONNECTED.

·                     A FIRE EXTINGUISHER MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR EVERY THREE TO

FOUR CARS ON DISPLAY.

·                     TEN (10) FEET MUST BE MAINTAINED BETWEEN STOREFRONTS AND        

ALL VEHICLE DISPLAYS.  IF STANCHIONS OR BARRICADES ARE USED, THIS RULE STILL APPLIES.

·                     MAKE SURE VEHICLES ARE NOT IN NEUTRAL GEAR.

·                     ARNOT MALL SECURITY MUST HAVE A SET OF KEYS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES.

I, ____________________________, have read, understand and agree to comply with the above Arnot Mall Rules and Regulations.  It is also understood that if any person/persons in the leased vendor space does not comply with the above, Arnot Mall Management will revoke all contracts between the Arnot Mall and the Vendor.
